.ldr or .mpd), a BrickLink wanted list, or a CSV. Studio can export LDraw. Submodels are counted as many times as they are used.Across 4,569,624 pieces in our set inventories, measured October 31, 2026, this share has a number in each system. Your file may differ: patterned parts, custom parts and very old files convert less often.
| System | Part and colour have a number | Exactly one of each |
|---|---|---|
| BrickLink | 99.9% | 99.8% |
| Brick Owl | 99.6% | 99.1% |
| LEGO element IDs, for Pick a Brick | 97.2% |
It converts numbers. It does not check stock or say what a part costs. Pick a Brick stocks only some pieces, and where a part and colour have several element IDs we use the highest, which is usually the newest, so LEGO may still report a piece as unavailable. Pick a Brick has been reported to take 400 different elements of up to 999 each, so a longer list becomes several files. Minifigures and sets in a BrickLink list are left out and counted. Only part and colour numbers are looked up: your file is never sent to us. Renamed LDraw parts are matched using the rename list in the LDraw parts library (CC BY 4.0).
