How to build a name in LEGO bricks

  1. Type the name. Accented letters, Greek and Cyrillic work. Up to 24 characters, on one line.
  2. Choose colours and a finish. Studs look like classic LEGO; smooth tiles read more cleanly from across a room. Only colours where every size of piece is in a set on sale are offered.
  3. Get the pieces. Download a BrickLink wanted list or a LEGO Pick a Brick file, or use the parts list.
  4. Build from the bottom up. Open it in 3D and step through it: the long plates underneath first, then the rows across them, then the letters.

Your text stays on this page

The name you type is drawn in your browser and goes nowhere. It is not sent to our server, not put in the page's address and not recorded in our analytics. A picture you save carries our address along the bottom, because that is how anyone who sees it finds this page.

What to know before you order

Software has checked that every piece connects to the rest, but we have not built every name by hand, and connected is not the same as sturdy. A sign three plates thick is best kept flat, framed or on a shelf, not carried by one end. Pick a Brick stocks only some pieces, so LEGO may report some as unavailable. Letters the font cannot draw, such as Chinese or Japanese, are named on the page. The lettering uses the public domain X11 5x7 font.
