Set 75457 ultimate collectors series executor super star destroyer.
I like to collect UCS Star Wars sets - mostly original trilogy stuff. Here's my latest setup.
The best LEGO Star Wars sets you can buy new in 2026, sorted into budget bands from small mechs and battle packs to the Ultimate Collector Series, with the sets new this year, how the SMART Play sets fit together, and the 18 Star Wars sets our catalog expects to retire on December 31, 2026.
The best LEGO Star Wars set in 2026 is the one that fits the budget and the person: a small Endor walker for a child, a Darth Vader bust or a midi-scale Venator for an adult's shelf, The Razor Crest for a Mandalorian fan, and the AT-ST Walker for a first Ultimate Collector Series set. This guide sorts the Star Wars sets our catalog lists as still sold new into budget bands, then covers what launched this year, how the new SMART Play sets fit together and which sets are expected to retire on December 31, 2026.
How we picked
This is a research based guide: we compared the Star Wars sets our catalog lists as still sold new with a US list price, grouped them by price, and chose by what each set does well, using LEGO's own descriptions and age marks. We left out sets whose expected exit date has already passed. Prices, piece counts and retirement status on each card come from our catalog when the page is built; check the card rather than any figure you remember.
Under $50: mechs, battle packs and first builds
This band is mostly small vehicles, battle packs and character builds, and it is where the youngest fans should start. The one adult pick here is the Vader bust.
Turn the AT-ST's head and fire its shooters at a hijacked speeder bike. A SMART Play Compatible set with a SMART Wicket minifigure, so it gains lights and sounds later if a SMART Brick joins the collection.
An 18+ display bust of Darth Vader, and the least expensive adult Star Wars set on this list.
Grogu's Homestead is a 4+ set with an easy posable Grogu, a Sorgan frog and a catapult: the right first set for a preschool fan.
A Clone Wars battle pack with four minifigures, two Mandalorian Super Commandos and two 332nd Clone Troopers, plus a speeder and a barricade.
Cobb Vanth's speeder from The Mandalorian season 2, with a hidden compartment and a battle against Cad Bane.
A posable mech for a Clone Shock Trooper minifigure. One of the smallest gifts here and a quick build for a six-year-old.
Also in this band: the AT-RT Attack from The Mandalorian and Grogu, the Darth Maul Mech and the 327th Star Corps Clone Troopers Battle Pack.
$50 to $100: the core of the range
Here the choice splits between play sets with interiors and 18+ display models. Two of the adult picks are midi-scale versions of famous Star Wars ships and walkers, which suit a shelf that has no room for an Ultimate Collector Series set.
An 18+ midi-scale Venator from Revenge of the Sith, built to capture the ship's silhouette on a shelf: the shelf-sized alternative to the UCS Venator.
An 18+ AT-AT from the Battle of Hoth, with a Rebel snowspeeder wrapping its tow cable around the walker's legs.
The Mos Eisley Cantina splits into four modules for play, with ejector couches, a bar and the band. A strong pick for an eight to twelve year old.
A play Millennium Falcon with lift-off top sections, holochess and two stud shooters. It is SMART Play Compatible, with four SMART minifigures.
Darth Vader's TIE Fighter is an All-In-One SMART Play set: it includes the SMART Brick and charger, so it is the one to buy first if a child wants the lights and sounds.
A brick-built BB-8 whose head spins as you roll him across a flat surface, with a hatch hiding the burner arm.
Also worth a look: the New Republic X-Wing Starfighter, Yoda's Hut and Jedi Training, Luke's Red Five X-wing, the 18+ Millennium Falcon from 2024, and the helmets, such as the Imperial Remnant AT-RT Driver Helmet and the Jango Fett Helmet. Our Star Wars helmet comparison compares the helmet line.
$100 to $250: the big play sets and character builds
This is the gift band for a dedicated fan, and in 2026 it leans heavily on The Mandalorian and Grogu.
The Razor Crest in its The Mandalorian and Grogu colors, built for play with The Mandalorian, Colonel Ward, Zeb Orrelios, a Stormtrooper and Grogu.
A large posable Grogu in beskar armor with a satchel and blue cookies. A centerpiece for a younger fan's shelf, rated 10+.
An 18+ Boba Fett figure from Return of the Jedi with a fabric cape and adjustable head and arms.
An Imperial Remnant AT-AT with an opening cockpit and cargo compartment, and seven characters for Mandalorian battle scenes.
Throne Room Duel and A-Wing is the largest Star Wars SMART Play set, an All-In-One with two SMART Bricks and three SMART minifigures.
The Offworld Sandcrawler from The Mandalorian season 1, with a posable Mudhorn, its egg and Grogu with a hover pram.
Also in this band: the Imperial Lambda-Class Shuttle, the Battle of Felucia Separatist MTT, and the droid builds R2-D2 and C-3PO.
Ultimate Collector Series: where to start
The two least expensive current UCS sets are good first steps into the line. Our guide to your first UCS Star Wars set compares every option in depth, and UCS vs midi-scale explains what you give up with the smaller ships above.
The UCS AT-ST Walker, with an opening top hatch and a detailed two-person cockpit. The least expensive UCS set currently sold.
The 2026 UCS N-1 Starfighter from The Mandalorian season 3, built with special silver-colored bricks.
$250 and up
Above $250 every current Star Wars set is part of the Ultimate Collector Series. For what the line released this year and where the Executor rumor stands, see LEGO Star Wars UCS 2026.
Jango Fett's Firespray-Class Starship from Attack of the Clones, over 44 cm long according to LEGO.
The UCS Death Star, which LEGO called the biggest LEGO Star Wars set of all at launch, built on a compact base.
What is new for 2026
Our catalog lists 27 Star Wars sets with a 2026 launch date and a US list price, by launch month:

- March: the first SMART Play Star Wars sets, Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, Luke's Red Five X-wing, Throne Room Duel and A-Wing, AT-ST Attack on Endor, Yoda's Hut and Jedi Training and the Millennium Falcon, plus the Mos Eisley Cantina.

SMART Play, in one paragraph
The SMART Play sets come in two kinds. All-In-One sets, Darth Vader's TIE Fighter (75421), Luke's Red Five X-wing (75423) and Throne Room Duel and A-Wing (75427), include a SMART Brick and charger, which adds motion-activated lights and sounds. Compatible sets, such as the Millennium Falcon (75426), the AT-ST Attack on Endor (75424) and Yoda's Hut (75422), include SMART minifigures and tags but no SMART Brick; LEGO's own descriptions say to add a brick from one of the three All-In-One sets. So buy one All-In-One set first, and treat the Compatible sets as add-ons. Without a SMART Brick they build and play as ordinary sets. Our SMART Play explainer covers the system across themes.
Leaving December 31, 2026
Our catalog lists 18 Star Wars sets still sold new with an expected exit date of December 31, 2026. After that date LEGO is expected to stop selling them, and a new copy depends on what other stores have left. These are the largest:
The Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon, sold since October 2017 and expected to retire at the end of 2026. If it is the set you have wanted for years, this is the year to buy it.
The UCS Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser, with a hangar holding a small Republic Gunship. The 2026 midi-scale Venator (75441) is the shelf-sized alternative.
Jabba's Sail Barge, a UCS display set with textile sails and a lift-off top deck.
The UCS TIE Interceptor, a redesign of a starfighter from the first UCS wave in 2000.
A play-scale Imperial Star Destroyer for ages 10 and up, with a foldout carry handle and an opening interior.
The Dark Falcon from LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, a dark version of the Millennium Falcon.
Also on the December 31, 2026 date: the Republic Juggernaut, Battle Droid with STAP, Wicket the Ewok, three helmets (The Mandalorian Helmet, AT-AT Driver Helmet and Kylo Ren Helmet), Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle, the Rebel U-Wing Starfighter, Mando and Grogu's N-1 Starfighter, two battle packs (Clone Trooper and Battle Droid and Death Trooper and Night Trooper) and the Plo Koon Microfighter. The full list across every theme is in our LEGO sets retiring in 2026 guide.
Which should you buy?
- A child aged 4 to 6: Grogu's Homestead, then a small mech.
- A child aged 7 to 12: the Mos Eisley Cantina or The Razor Crest; for lights and sounds, start with an All-In-One SMART Play set such as Darth Vader's TIE Fighter.
- An adult who wants one display piece: the Darth Vader Bust under $50, the Venator-Class Attack Cruiser or the AT-AT under $100, Boba Fett above.
- A first UCS set: the AT-ST Walker.
- A collector: decide on the December 31, 2026 retirements first, starting with the Millennium Falcon, because most current sets have expected exit dates in 2027 or later.
