How to arrange LEGO Botanicals sets into an indoor garden that looks deliberate, from grouping by height and choosing which sets need a vase to light, dust and pets, using sets still sold new and noting the two that leave at the end of 2026.
A LEGO Botanicals collection looks most like an indoor garden when you arrange it the way a gardener arranges real houseplants: by height, in groups, with the right container for each plant. Here is how to set one up with the sets LEGO sells now, and how to keep it looking good.
Quick answer: tall at the back or up high, mid-height in the middle, small sets in front. Potted plants include their pots; bouquets need your own vase. Keep pale sets out of strong sun. For where each set suits a room, see our
Botanicals by room guide.
Group by height
Real plant displays work in layers, and LEGO ones do too. Put one tall statement plant at the back of a shelf or hanging from above, mid-height plants in front of it, and small pots at the front edge where they can be seen.
Tall: the back row or up high
Peace Lily
$49.99
Peace Lily: a tall single plant in a pot, the natural back-row piece of a shelf garden.
Hanging Golden Pothos
$59.99
Hanging Golden Pothos: built to hang, so it adds a high layer without using shelf space.
Mid-height: the middle of the group
Bonsai Tree
$49.99
Bonsai Tree: the classic centrepiece of a LEGO plant display, with green leaves or pink blossom.
Flowering Cactus
$34.99
Flowering Cactus: a mid-height plant that suits a dry, desert-style corner of the display.
Small: the front row
Tiny Plants
$49.99
Tiny Plants: small plants in terracotta-style pots to line the front of a shelf.
Succulents
$49.99
Succulents: small potted succulents you can cluster or spread out. Expected to leave LEGO's range on December 31, 2026.
Mini Orchid
$29.99
Mini Orchid: the line's signature flower at a size that fits the front row.
Pots, vases and bases
The potted plants come with their pots, so they stand on their own. The Flower Arrangement and the Dark Flower Arrangement include their own base. The bouquets, such as the Sunflower Bouquet, are built to stand in an ordinary vase that you supply, which is a chance to match the display to the room.
Flower Arrangement
$109.99
Flower Arrangement: a large centrepiece with its own base, for the middle of a table. Expected to leave LEGO's range on December 31, 2026.
Sunflower Bouquet
$59.99
Sunflower Bouquet: stems built to stand in a vase of your own.
A woodland corner
Not every set is a houseplant. The Woodland Mushrooms scene works as the ground layer of a display, set beside the potted plants.
Woodland Mushrooms
$79.99
Woodland Mushrooms: a forest-floor scene that adds a ground layer beside potted plants.
Light, dust and pets
-
Light: LEGO plastic can yellow or fade after long exposure to strong sunlight, and white and pale pieces show it first, so keep the paler sets out of a sunny window.
-
Dust: brush the display with a soft, dry brush. For loose pieces that need washing, LEGO advises washing by hand in water no hotter than 40 degrees Celsius and drying in the air.
-
Pets: the ASPCA lists real peace lilies and golden pothos as toxic to cats and dogs, so LEGO versions are an alternative for those plants, but small parts are a chewing and choking risk, so keep them out of reach.
