What changed since our 2025 guide
  • Gone: Diagon Alley (75978), Hogwarts Icons (76391) and Hogwarts Express & Hogsmeade Station (76423) were scheduled to retire at the end of 2025 according to the retirement schedule published by Bricksup. Check availability before paying above list price for any of them.
  • Extended: Brick Fanatics reports that Hogwarts Castle (71043) and Hogwarts Castle and Grounds (76419) were pushed from a 2025 retirement to December 31, 2026. This is reportedly the last full year to buy either at list price.
  • New: the Sorcerer's Stone Collectors' Edition (76466), the Hogwarts Castle: East Wing (76473) that finishes the modular castle, and the Ministry of Magic Collectors' Edition (76476), the biggest Harry Potter set of the year.

The 2026 lineup arrived in three waves. January brought eight anniversary sets built around the first film and the modular castle. June added eight more, including the East Wing and a second Book Nook. Then the Ministry of Magic landed as the year's LEGO.com exclusive. 1. The January wave: the 25th anniversary sets

Jay's Brick Blog listed eight sets for January 1, 2026: the Hogwarts Castle: Sorting Hat Ceremony (76460, $14.99), Hagrid and Harry's Privet Drive Escape (76459, $19.99), the Cornish Pixie (76461, $29.99), the Cauldron: Secret Potions Classroom (76464, $59.99), Luna Lovegood's House (76467, $89.99), the Hogwarts Castle: Hospital Wing (76463, $99.99), the Sorcerer's Stone Collectors' Edition (76466, $169.99) and the Enchanted Flying Ford Anglia (76470, $79.99). Luna's house is a location never before seen in LEGO form, and the Hospital Wing is the first 2026 module for the minifigure-scale castle.

The summer sets reached LEGO Stores on June 1, 2026 according to Jay's Brick Blog. The headline is the Hogwarts Castle: East Wing (76473, $269.99), a 2,164-piece module that adds the Chamber of Secrets, the Slytherin common room, Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, the Restricted Section of the library and Lockhart's classroom to the modular castle, with 13 minifigures and a slide that drops a minifigure from the bathroom into the Chamber. StoneWars says it leaves one major section of the castle essentially complete, while noting there is room for more modules later. Alongside it: the Book Nook: Dumbledore's Office (76478, $129.99), Hogwarts Herbology Plants (76474, $99.99), Norbert: Hagrid's Baby Dragon (76477, $49.99), the Hogwarts House Crest (76462, $49.99), Forbidden Forest: Expecto Patronum (76475, $34.99), Dobby the Free Elf (76469, $29.99) and the Knockturn Alley Wizarding Shops (76471, $119.99), the dark-side counterpart to last year's Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops.

3. The Ministry of Magic (76476)

LEGO announced it as the 25th anniversary flagship: a 20-inch cross-section that starts at a London street with the Underground entrance and the red telephone box, drops through the green-tiled Ministry with Arthur Weasley's and Dolores Umbridge's offices and the courtroom, and ends in the Hall of Prophecy with shelves that collapse on cue. The minifigure list includes Harry, Ron, Hermione, Sirius Black, Dumbledore, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Tonks, Mad-Eye Moody, Lucius Malfoy, Umbridge and the first-ever Arabella Figg, plus a Lynx Patronus and a golden wizard statue. It is exclusive to LEGO.com and LEGO Stores. Reception has been mixed on value: Jay's Brick Blog felt it reads more as a playset than a display model and that the price is a little high, and on piece count it compares unfavourably to Gringotts at the same money. 4. What left the shelves

Last year's guide leaned on Diagon Alley (75978), Hogwarts Icons (76391), the Hogwarts Express & Hogsmeade Station (76423) and Expecto Patronum (76414). All four were on the December 2025 retirement list published by Bricksup, alongside the Owlery, Hagrid's Hut and the Boathouse, so none of them appear as picks here. Buy 71043 if you want the definitive display model and you were going to buy it eventually: the piece count has never been matched in the theme and the reported retirement date removes the option of waiting. Buy 76419 if $469.99 is too much or the shelf is too small; it is the same silhouette at a third of the price, and it is on the same reported retirement date. Build the modular castle if the set will be played with, or if you want a project that grows. How to Choose: Kids, Adult Display, or Collecting

For kids

Start with a modular castle piece rather than a Collectors' Edition. The Hospital Wing (76463) and the Sorting Hat Ceremony (76460) are the 2026 entries, the Herbology Class (76445) is the most popular carry-over, and all three connect. Dobby (76469) and Norbert (76477) are the character builds that survive being toys. Luna Lovegood's House (76467) is the best story set of the year for a reader who has reached the later books. Skip the Ministry and the 18+ sculptures for anyone under twelve; they are built to be looked at.

For adult display

The 18+ line is where 2026 shines.
