The LEGO Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors' Edition left LEGO's range in July 2026, while the Hogsmeade Village Collectors' Edition, built to the same scale, is on sale until the end of 2027. Here is how the two big 18+ Harry Potter locations compare and which to buy now.
This used to be a choice between two current sets. It no longer is: LEGO's Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors' Edition retired on July 31, 2026, and the small 2021 Hogsmeade Village Visit retired in 2024. The current match is the 18+ Hogsmeade Village Collectors' Edition, which LEGO built at the same scale as Gringotts and expects to sell until the end of 2027. If you want one now, buy Hogsmeade; if you want the dragon-topped bank, it is a secondary market hunt.
Where each set stands
Our catalog lists Gringotts (76417) as retired with an expected exit of July 31, 2026, and Hogsmeade Village Collectors' Edition (76457) as on sale with an expected exit at the end of 2027. Both are marked 18+. Prices and piece counts are on the cards.

Hogsmeade Village Collectors' Edition (76457): the one to buy now
LEGO's description calls it a winter street scene of seven buildings: Honeydukes, the Owl Post, The Three Broomsticks, Dervish and Banges and Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop, plus the first LEGO builds of Zonko's Joke Shop and the Hog's Head. They come as three modules that connect into one street, with rooms to explore inside each building.
- Figures: 12 minifigures, including Harry, Ron, Hermione, Madam Rosmerta and Aberforth Dumbledore, plus a horse and carriage.
- Details: sneakoscopes, a remembrall, exploding bonbons, Butterbeer, and an Ariana Dumbledore portrait that opens to a secret passage.
- Scale: LEGO says it matches the Gringotts Collectors' Edition, so the two can share a display.
Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors' Edition (76417): the one to hunt for
Gringotts is built as three stacking models, the bank, its vaults and the Ukrainian Ironbelly, which LEGO says stand over 75 cm high together. The bank has its foyer and mezzanine with a safe in the wall for Hagrid's letter, and the Magical Menagerie shop sits next door.
- The vaults: a cart glides down a spiraling track and stops at each of three vaults, including Bellatrix's vault, which has a surprise inside.
- The dragon: posable, with room for three minifigures on its back.
- Figures: 13, including two Harry Potter minifigures, Ron, Hagrid, Griphook, Bogrod, Ricbert, a Death Eater and a Bellatrix figure that doubles as Hermione.
- Connections: it links to the Diagon Alley set (75978), which retired at the end of 2025.

A Gringotts you can still buy new
The microscale Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops set includes a small Gringotts among its buildings, alongside Ollivanders, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes and the Leaky Cauldron, with 12 microfigures and the Knight Bus. It is a very different object, a display street rather than a minifigure building, but it is on sale until the end of 2027.

Retired: Hogsmeade Village Visit (76388)
The set the old version of this page compared was the 2021 Hogsmeade Village Visit, an 8+ play set with Honeydukes and The Three Broomsticks and 6 minifigures plus a golden anniversary Ron. Our catalog lists it as retired in 2024.

Buy the Hogsmeade Village Collectors' Edition if you want:
