LEGO Hogwarts Modular Sets 2026: Which Castle Sets to Buy

LEGO's connecting Hogwarts Castle sets have changed. The 2018 to 2022 modules have all retired, and the 2024 collection's Great Hall left in July 2026. Here is what is on sale now, where to start, and which two sets leave at the end of 2026.
LEGO's connecting Hogwarts has been rebuilt. The modules from 2018 to 2022, the Great Hall, Astronomy Tower, Chamber of Secrets and the rest, have all retired, and since 2024 LEGO has been releasing a new collection sold as Hogwarts Castle sets that connect into one castle scene. That collection's own Great Hall retired in July 2026, so today the place to start is The Main Tower, with the 2026 East Wing as the next step.

The two big sets
LEGO's largest minifigure-scale Main Tower: a trapdoor out of Fluffy's room, a Devil's Snare trap, the Flying Keys, a swiveling Grand Staircase up to Dumbledore's office and removable Flying Keys and Wizard Chess rooms, with 12 minifigures.
The 2026 East Wing: the library's Restricted Section, a bathroom slide into the Chamber of Secrets and the Basilisk, a pull-out Slytherin common room, 13 minifigures, and a viaduct and bridge that connect to other sets.
The Main Tower is the centre of the current collection, and the East Wing is built to join it: LEGO includes the viaduct and bridge in the East Wing for exactly that. Together they cover the Sorcerer's Stone trials, Dumbledore's office and the Chamber of Secrets.
The classrooms and smaller rooms
The 2026 Hospital Wing, with a Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom and the Ravenclaw common room, seven minifigures and Lupin's Wolf Patronus.
Flying Lessons: the Quidditch equipment room, the Transfiguration classroom, McGonagall's office and the trophy room. Expected to leave on December 31, 2026.
Herbology Class: a greenhouse classroom that opens up, three Mandrakes that lift out of their pots and three minifigures. Expected to leave on December 31, 2026.
Charms Class: a fold-out classroom with a Wingardium Leviosa feather-levitation function and a chalkboard of spell instructions.
The Sorting Hat Ceremony: McGonagall, Harry, Hermione and Draco, a sorting wheel to pick each student's house and a house points counter.
Several of the sets also carry collectibles that run across the collection: Hogwarts portraits, and Patronus figures from a 25th anniversary series, so a few small sets add to the bigger ones as well as standing alone.
Retired from the current collection
- The Great Hall (76435): retired at the end of July 2026.
- Potions Class (76431) and Dueling Club (76441): retired at the end of 2025.
- Room of Requirement (40770): retired in October 2025.
The 2018 to 2022 generation, all retired
The first connecting Hogwarts, which began with the 2018 Great Hall and Whomping Willow, has left LEGO's range. LEGO described these modules as combining with one another, for example the Astronomy Tower connecting with the Whomping Willow, the Great Hall and the Clock Tower, but its descriptions of the 2024 collection do not say the generations join, so plan a castle around one or the other.

- One big set: The Main Tower.
- Building a castle over time: The Main Tower, then the East Wing, then the classrooms you like.
- A small first set for a younger fan: the Sorting Hat Ceremony (7+) or Charms Class (8+).
- Before the end of 2026: Flying Lessons and Herbology Class, if either is on the list.
