The Bone Demon is a stunningly spooky Monkie Kid set. With its intricate design and glow-in-the-dark elements, it perfectly captures the eerie essence of the Bone Demon legend, offering a visually striking and unique building experience.

This set is perfect for Monkie Kid fans, LEGO enthusiasts seeking a challenging build, and collectors of unique display pieces. The advanced building techniques and detailed minifigures provide an engaging and rewarding experience, while the finished model makes a captivating addition to any collection.

Skip this if you prefer simpler builds or are not a fan of the Monkie Kid theme. Those looking for more traditional LEGO City or Star Wars sets might find this too niche. Consider 80012-1 Monkey King Warrior Mech as an alternative.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Bone Demon (80028-1) presents a moderate investment opportunity, primarily driven by its status as a retired Monkie Kid set. The Monkie Kid theme has garnered a dedicated following, and its unique blend of LEGO creativity with Chinese mythology gives it a distinct appeal. The set's piece count (1383) and inclusion of five minifigures, including two Bone Spirits and the White Bone Demon, contribute to its collectibility. The glow-in-the-dark elements are also a plus. However, the relatively recent retirement means that the set is not yet scarce, and its investment potential hinges on the continued popularity of the Monkie Kid theme and the set's unique design. It's important to monitor secondary market prices and demand.
