The T. rex Dinosaur Fossil Exhibition is a pint-sized paleontological adventure. This set brings the awe of a museum exhibit right into your LEGO collection, perfect for sparking curiosity about prehistoric life and adding a touch of Jurassic World flair to any display.

This set is perfect for young dinosaur enthusiasts and casual LEGO builders. With under 200 pieces, the build is quick and engaging, offering a satisfying introduction to LEGO construction and the wonders of paleontology. The inclusion of minifigures adds a play element, making it ideal for imaginative storytelling.

Skip this if you're seeking a complex, highly detailed dinosaur model. This set offers a simplified representation, so consider larger, more intricate Jurassic World sets like the Indominus Rex vs. Ankylosaurus (75941-1) for a more challenging build and realistic display piece.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The T. rex Dinosaur Fossil Exhibition (76940-1) presents a moderate investment opportunity. Its appeal lies in the enduring popularity of the Jurassic World theme and the inherent fascination with dinosaurs, making it attractive to both collectors and younger fans. The relatively low piece count and original MSRP of $29.99 position it as an accessible entry point into LEGO investing. However, its widespread availability and the presence of other dinosaur-themed sets in the market may limit its potential for significant appreciation. As a retired set, its value is likely to increase gradually over time, particularly if it remains a sought-after item among Jurassic World enthusiasts and LEGO dinosaur collectors. Consider that fluctuations in the secondary market and the release of newer dinosaur-themed sets could impact its long-term investment performance.
