📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Indominus rex vs. Ankylosaurus is a thrilling Jurassic World showdown in LEGO form. This set brings two iconic dinosaurs to life, allowing fans to recreate epic battles from the movies or imagine their own prehistoric clashes. The inclusion of five minifigures adds to the playability and storytelling potential, making it a standout set for younger builders and collectors alike.

This set is perfect for Jurassic World fans and dinosaur enthusiasts. The build is engaging and offers a good balance between constructing the dinosaurs and the surrounding environment. The play features, such as the collapsing trees and rotating gyrosphere station, enhance the overall experience.

Skip this if you're looking for a highly complex building experience or a vast display piece. While enjoyable, it's geared more towards play than intricate detailing. Consider the larger Jurassic Park T. rex Rampage set for a more challenging build and impressive display.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Indominus rex vs. Ankylosaurus set presents a moderate investment opportunity. As a retired set from the popular Jurassic World theme, it benefits from the franchise's enduring appeal. The inclusion of unique dinosaur figures, particularly the Indominus rex, enhances its collectibility. However, its relatively high MSRP and piece count compared to other sets in the theme may limit its potential for rapid appreciation. Investors should consider the long-term value and the potential for increased demand as the Jurassic World franchise continues to expand.

Compared to other Jurassic World sets, Indominus rex vs. Ankylosaurus offers a direct dinosaur-on-dinosaur battle scenario. While sets like the T. rex Rampage focus on park infrastructure, this set prioritizes creature clashes. It's a good choice for fans who want a more action-oriented display. Consider the Baryonyx Face-Off: The Treasure Hunt (75935-1) for a similar price point with a different dinosaur and vehicle focus.
