📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Skeletons' Prison Carriage is a classic example of LEGO Fantasy Era goodness. Released in 2007, it perfectly captures the imaginative battles between knights and skeletons that defined the theme, offering a fun and slightly spooky build.

This set is perfect for LEGO castle fans and those who appreciate a touch of the macabre. With a relatively low piece count, it's a manageable build, and the inclusion of multiple minifigures enhances playability and display value.

Skip this if you're seeking a highly complex building experience or only collect licensed themes. While charming, this set is more about nostalgic fun than intricate techniques; consider newer Castle sets for more elaborate builds.

Not enough price history for a trend

B+

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Skeletons' Prison Carriage has good investment potential due to its age, theme, and relatively low price point when originally released. Fantasy Era sets are increasingly sought after by collectors. The inclusion of multiple minifigures, including the skeletal horses, adds to its desirability. While not as iconic as some larger castle sets, its rarity and completeness make it a worthwhile investment for those interested in the theme. As a retired set, its value is only likely to increase over time, especially in sealed condition. Be mindful of storage conditions to preserve box quality.

📖 About This Set

The evil skeleton warriors have captured one of the good knights and are racing off with him in their armored prison carriage. Can the knight on horseback defeat the skeletons and set his friend free? Includes 2 knights, 3 skeletons, horse and 3 skeleton horses! Horse and carriage measures 18" (46cm) long!

⚖ Compare Similar Sets

Compared to other Castle sets of the time, the Skeletons' Prison Carriage offers a unique blend of fantasy and medieval elements. While sets like the King's Castle (70404-1) provide a more traditional castle experience, this set provides a unique antagonist faction. Its lower piece count makes it more accessible than larger castle sets, but its focus on skeletons may not appeal to all builders. Consider the Dragon Knights sets for a similar fantasy-themed experience.
