Weird/ Different LEGO 852001?

So I was at this small high school the other day and they were getting rid of a bunch of stuff and they had this LEGO chess thing I thought looked cool, so I took it home. Upon further inspection and research, I can’t find my variant anywhere else. The biggest differences are that there’s different printing on one side of the box, no bar code, no 852001 product number, or basically anything else on the box. It also has different minigfigures, some of which seem like they could be mismatched...
