📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Lloyd's Journey is a small but sweet Ninjago set. It perfectly captures the essence of the Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu season with its icy terrain and focus on Lloyd's solo adventure. The build is quick, but the play features and minifigures make it worthwhile.

This set is perfect for younger Ninjago fans or those looking for a quick and affordable build. It's a great entry point into the theme and provides hours of imaginative play. The small size makes it easy to display or incorporate into larger Ninjago scenes.

Skip this if you're an experienced builder seeking a challenging project or a massive display piece. Consider larger Ninjago sets like the Monastery of Spinjitzu for a more complex build and grander scale.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

Lloyd's Journey (70671) is a retired Ninjago set, which immediately gives it some collector appeal. While the piece count is low and the original MSRP was modest, its retirement status means prices on the secondary market are likely to gradually increase, especially if the set remains in sealed condition. Ninjago is a consistently popular theme, which supports potential value growth. However, the small size and relatively common minifigures limit its potential for explosive gains. It's unlikely to become a highly sought-after set, but it could be a decent investment for patient collectors. Risks include the possibility of similar sets being released in the future that dilute its uniqueness and the general volatility of the LEGO investment market.
