The Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase is a standout set from the early days of the LEGO DC Super Heroes line. It perfectly captures the gritty, comic book aesthetic of Gotham City with its unique vehicle designs and iconic minifigure lineup.

This set is perfect for Batman fans and collectors looking for a nostalgic trip back to 2012. The build offers a satisfying experience with some clever techniques, and the set displays well with its contrasting vehicles.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The 6864 Batmobile and Two-Face Chase set presents a solid investment opportunity. Its status as a retired set from a popular licensed theme (Batman) contributes to its increasing value. The inclusion of five minifigures, including the villain Two-Face, further enhances its collectibility. While the piece count is moderate, the set's unique design and the enduring popularity of the Batman franchise suggest a positive trajectory for its value. However, potential investors should be aware of market fluctuations and the condition of the set if purchasing on the secondary market. The rising price trend indicates growing demand and scarcity, making it a worthwhile addition to a LEGO investment portfolio.

Compared to newer Batmobile sets, the 6864 offers a more classic, comic book-inspired design. While it may lack the complexity of sets like the 76139 1989 Batmobile, it provides a unique aesthetic and a more affordable entry point for collectors. For those seeking a more modern and detailed Batmobile, sets like 76181 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase might be preferable.
