What LEGO has actually confirmed for 2027 as of early October 2026, the thirteen sets that launch on January 1, the themes LEGO has promised without naming sets, the anniversaries of the year, and the big sets expected to leave at the end of 2026.
LEGO has confirmed only a small part of 2027 so far, and this page lists only what it has confirmed. As of October 6, 2026, that is thirteen retail sets for January, all from three themes: eight Super Mario sets, three DC Batman sets and two Ninjago spinners, plus one LEGOLAND-only set for February. LEGO has also promised new Dragon Ball, KPop Demon Hunters and Hello Kitty and Friends sets for 2027 without naming them. That will change fast: LEGO usually reveals many of its January sets in November and December, and we add each set here as LEGO announces it.
How LEGO releases a year of sets
LEGO puts most new sets in shops on the first day of a month. The heaviest waves land on January 1, June 1 and August 1, with a spring wave on March 1 and holiday and flagship sets in October and November. Large flagship sets often open to members of LEGO's Insiders program a few days before everyone else. Here is how that rhythm played out in 2026, using sets that came out on those dates:

Reveals follow a rhythm too. Many January sets are announced only weeks before launch: the 2026 modular, Shopping Street, was revealed on December 4, 2025, and the first Star Wars sets for January 2026 were revealed in late November 2025. That is why a 2027 calendar written in October is short.
January 2027: the sets LEGO has revealed
Super Mario, now with minifigures
LEGO unveiled a new Super Mario wave at Gamescom in Cologne in August 2026. Since the theme began in 2020 its sets have been built around interactive figures; these are the first built around LEGO minifigures, with Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Toad and a Koopa Troopa among the characters. LEGO says the sets will be available from January 1, 2027.

DC Batman
LEGO revealed three Batman sets for January 2027 in early October 2026: two Batmobiles, one from Batman Returns and one from the Arkham games, and an 18+ wall art piece that recreates the Joker cover of Detective Comics #880.

Ninjago spinners
Spinjitzu spinners return to Ninjago with two small battle sets revealed at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2026, both for January 1, 2027: Cole vs. Evil Cole Spinner (71873) and Lloyd vs. Ras Spinner Battle (71875). Both are small battle sets for younger builders rather than display pieces.
February 2027: LEGOLAND Park Adventure
LEGOLAND Park Adventure (50090) is a display set of a LEGOLAND park, with a roller coaster around the edge and an up-scaled minifigure in the middle. It was revealed at the 2026 LEGO Creator Summit for February 2027 and will be sold only at LEGOLAND resorts, not at LEGOLAND Discovery Centres.
Themes LEGO has confirmed for 2027, sets still to come
Three themes are officially promised for 2027 without any set names, prices or dates yet. Treat any specific set you see listed for them elsewhere as a leak until LEGO announces it.
- Dragon Ball. The LEGO Group announced a partnership with Toei Animation in late September 2026, and said more Dragon Ball sets will follow in 2027. The first, the LEGO Icons Dragon Ball Shenron and Goku (11390), opens to Insiders on November 1, 2026 and to everyone on November 4.
- KPop Demon Hunters. When LEGO and Netflix announced the range in February 2026, LEGO said additional sets are coming in 2027. The first set, Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird, came out in 2026.
- Hello Kitty and Friends. On October 6, 2026 the LEGO Group and Sanrio announced a multi-year partnership that brings Hello Kitty and Friends to LEGO play sets for the first time, with products starting in 2027.
The anniversaries of 2027
- Modular Buildings turn 20. The line began with Café Corner (10182) in April 2007. LEGO is marking the anniversary with 22 Recognised LEGO Fan Communities rebuilding classic modulars at about four times their original size, to be shown at fan events through 2027 and into 2028, and a designer evening at LEGO House on December 7, 2026 that promises insights into the 2027 modular. - Star Wars turns 50. The first film opened in the United States on May 25, 1977. LEGO has not announced how it will mark the anniversary, and the 2027 Star Wars sets circulating online all come from leaks, so none are listed here yet. - LEGO Friends turns 15. Friends launched in North America in January 2012. LEGO has not announced anniversary sets.
LEGO Ideas designs approved but not yet dated
LEGO Ideas turns fan designs into official sets, and several approved designs have not reached shops yet. LEGO approved Edward Scissorhands, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, a set of Amsterdam canal houses and The Old Man and the Sea in its review results of April 27, 2026, and a Jumanji board game and Universal Monsters on July 14, 2026. LEGO has not announced release dates for any of them; each will be added here when it does.
What leaves at the end of 2026
The other half of planning for 2027 is what will be gone by then. As of October 6, 2026, our catalog lists 301 sets with an expected exit date of December 31, 2026. What this page leaves out, and when it changes
Plenty of 2027 set names, numbers and prices are already circulating, for Star Wars, City, Botanicals, Icons and more. None of them are on this page, because LEGO has not announced them, and leaked details often change before release. Expect the biggest additions in November and December, ahead of the January 1 launch.
