Kai with Bandana

This version of Kai, sporting a bandana and a stern expression marked by a scar, offers a unique twist on the fiery ninja. The bandana is a key feature that sets him apart from his standard appearance, appealing to collectors seeking variant minifigures. As one of the core Ninjago characters, Kai's enduring popularity ensures consistent demand among fans of the theme.

The minifigure's presence in several smaller, more accessible sets from 2015 makes it attainable for collectors. However, the retired status of these sets adds to its collectibility, as finding complete and mint-condition figures becomes increasingly challenging. The scar detail also adds a level of distinctiveness that appeals to minifigure enthusiasts.

This Kai minifigure appears in five different sets, all of which were released in 2015 and are now retired. This relatively limited production window contributes to its increasing rarity. While not a regional exclusive, the finite number of these minifigures produced means that availability on the aftermarket is dependent on existing collections and individual sellers. Its inclusion in a minifigure pack (5003085-1) could have slightly increased its initial availability, but this doesn't diminish its current collectibility as a retired variant.
