There is no public LEGO factory tour you can book. The factory visit LEGO offers comes as part of the LEGO Inside Tour, a three-day programme in Billund, Denmark, and the sign-up for the 2027 tours runs from October 13 to October 16, 2026. Everyone else can visit LEGO House, the LEGO Group's experience centre in Billund.
Quick answer: to see a factory, apply for the LEGO Inside Tour between October 13, 2026 at 10:00 and October 16, 2026 at 10:00 Danish time. To visit LEGO's home town without a factory visit, book LEGO House tickets in advance.
The LEGO Inside Tour
The LEGO Inside Tour is LEGO's own behind-the-scenes programme in Billund. LEGO House describes it as three days that include a guided tour of LEGO history, a visit to The Vault, LEGO's archive of sets back to 1958, an exclusive factory tour and a building session with LEGO designers, with accommodation, breakfast and all meals included.
There are 10 tours in 2027:
- 17 to 19 March, 7 to 9 April, 21 to 23 April
- 26 to 28 May, 16 to 18 June
- 15 to 17 September, 29 September to 1 October, 13 to 15 October
- 3 to 5 November, 24 to 26 November
Sign-up opens on October 13, 2026 at 10:00 and closes on October 16, 2026 at 10:00 Danish summer time, on the LEGO House website. LEGO says demand is high and it will not be able to accommodate all registrations. Participants must be at least 12, and guests aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Each year's tour also comes with its own exclusive set; the 2026 set commemorated the first LEGO logo.
LEGO House: open to everyone
LEGO House, at Ole Kirks Plads 1 in Billund, is the LEGO Group's own experience centre, with four experience zones built around creative building, a store and restaurants. LEGO House advises booking tickets in advance because they sell out, and its opening hours change by day and season, so check the hours for your date on its website. It also sells guided tours and fan experiences that are separate from the Inside Tour.
LEGOLAND Billund is not the factory
LEGOLAND Billund is a theme park next to LEGO's home town sites. It is a good day out with LEGO models throughout, but it is not a factory and not part of the Inside Tour.
Where LEGO's factories are
LEGO has factories in Billund (Denmark), Kladno (Czech Republic), Nyiregyhaza (Hungary), Monterrey (Mexico) and Jiaxing (China), and opened its sixth factory, in Binh Duong, Vietnam, in April 2025. Its seventh, in Chesterfield County, Virginia, is due to start production in 2027. None of them runs public tours.
