Retired

The Fire Truck Holiday Bauble is a retired set from 2013, which automatically gives it some collector appeal. Its small piece count and original low MSRP mean that the current price represents a significant increase in value. As a holiday-themed item, its demand is likely to be seasonal, but the LEGO City theme is consistently popular, which supports its long-term investment potential. However, as a small, specialized set, its appreciation might be slower compared to larger, more iconic sets.

BlockTalk analysis

LEGO reviewers give the Fire Truck Holiday Bauble (850842-1) a mixed rating of 3.0/5, viewing it primarily as a charming seasonal novelty rather than a substantial build. While creators appreciate the festive concept and the cute micro-scale fire truck housed inside the transparent sphere, many point out that the build is extremely simplistic and the plastic bauble is prone to scratching. Overall, it is regarded as a decent stocking stuffer or tree ornament, though lacking long-term building appeal.
