📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

The Bat-Tank: The Riddler and Bane's Hideout is a unique and somewhat quirky addition to the Batman LEGO universe. Released in 2007, this set offers a different take on Batman's vehicles, focusing on a tank-like design rather than the sleek cars and planes typically associated with the Dark Knight.

This set is perfect for Batman fans who appreciate unique vehicle designs and want to add something different to their collection. The build provides a solid play experience with its flick-fire missiles and break-away fence feature. The minifigure selection is also a plus, featuring iconic villains like The Riddler and Bane.

Skip this if you're looking for a more traditional Batmobile or Batwing. The Bat-Tank's unconventional design might not appeal to everyone. Consider sets like the 76181-1 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase for a more classic Batman vehicle experience.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Bat-Tank: The Riddler and Bane's Hideout presents a mixed investment profile. Its status as a retired set from a popular theme (Batman) gives it some inherent appeal. However, the unconventional design of the Bat-Tank may limit its collectibility compared to more iconic Batman vehicles. The minifigures, particularly Bane and The Riddler, add value. Given the rising price trend, it shows potential for appreciation, but investors should be aware of potential fluctuations in demand and consider the high current price point when making a decision.

Compared to other Batman sets from the same era, The Bat-Tank offers a unique play experience with its tank-like design and break-away features. While sets like the Batmobile offer a more classic vehicle, the Bat-Tank stands out for its originality. For collectors interested in villains, this set is preferable to sets with only Batman and Robin. However, its unconventional design might not appeal to all Batman fans, who may prefer the sleeker lines of sets such as 7781-1 The Batmobile: Two-Face's Escape.
