📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

App-Controlled Batmobile is a technologically ambitious foray into motorized LEGO vehicles. Fusing classic Dark Knight aesthetics with Bluetooth-enabled Power Functions, this set brought Gotham's iconic ride to life right on your smartphone screen.

This set is perfect for Batman fans and young tech enthusiasts who love interactive play. The integration of dual motors and a dedicated control app provides a genuinely fun remote-control driving experience that goes well beyond static display.

Skip this if you are strictly a traditional brick-builder looking for a complex architectural challenge. With a modest 331 pieces focused heavily on the chassis and electronic integration, the building experience is relatively brief compared to standard System sets.

⏳ Retired

As a retired motorized set from 2018, the App-Controlled Batmobile occupies a unique niche in the secondary market. Powered-up and app-connected LEGO vehicles often carry inherent long-term risks due to the reliance on electronic components, Bluetooth compatibility over time, and potential battery corrosion issues. However, the crossover appeal of Batman combined with functional RC capabilities provides some inherent collector interest for complete, working sets. Because market price history is currently unknown, prospective buyers and sellers should proceed with cautious expectations. While sealed examples may appeal to boxed-theme completionists, the electronic nature of the set means buyers on the aftermarket will heavily scrutinize whether the motors and Bluetooth hub are still fully operational, making it a speculative hold rather than a predictable appreciating asset.

Compared to static display models like standard LEGO Batmobiles, 76112 prioritizes interactive play and engineering over intricate exterior detailing. If you prefer a detailed display piece without electronics, traditional display-focused sets offer a much deeper building experience.

The inventory is heavily geared toward structural Technic integration, pins, and slopes, making it a decent parts pack for basic mechanical builds rather than traditional brick-stacking.
