The Ostrich Race is a charming and unique set from the Prince of Persia line. It captures the whimsical spirit of the movie with its unusual subject matter and vibrant colors. This set stands out for its creativity, offering a fun departure from typical LEGO vehicles or buildings.

This set is perfect for fans of the Prince of Persia theme and LEGO collectors seeking something different. The build is relatively straightforward, making it accessible to younger builders, while the unique elements and minifigures provide appeal for older enthusiasts. It's a great set for display, showcasing the quirky nature of the Ostrich Race.

Skip this if you prefer more complex builds or are not a fan of the Prince of Persia theme. While the set is charming, it may not offer enough challenge for experienced builders, and those unfamiliar with the movie may not appreciate the context. Consider other LEGO sets with more intricate designs and broader appeal.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Ostrich Race set from the Prince of Persia theme presents a moderate investment opportunity. As a retired set from a licensed theme, it benefits from the collectibility associated with movie tie-ins. The set's unique subject matter and relatively low piece count make it accessible to a wide range of collectors. However, its value is tied to the popularity of the Prince of Persia franchise, which may limit its growth potential compared to more universally appealing themes like Star Wars or modular buildings. The rising price trend suggests growing demand, but careful monitoring is advised to gauge long-term prospects.

While sets like 'Battle of Alamut' (7573-1) provide more action-oriented scenes, 'The Ostrich Race' focuses on the whimsical aspects of the movie. Collectors might choose this set for its unique subject matter and charming design, especially if they already own the larger, more complex sets from the theme. Its smaller size and lower price point also make it a more accessible option for casual collectors.
