The BARC Speeder with Sidecar (75012-1) has shown significant appreciation since its retirement. Its relatively low piece count and original MSRP make it an accessible entry point for LEGO Star Wars investors. The inclusion of Captain Rex, a highly sought-after minifigure, boosts its collectible value. While not the most extravagant set, its steady climb in price indicates solid long-term potential. However, potential investors should be wary of price corrections and focus on acquiring sets in excellent condition.

While smaller than some other vehicles, the inclusion of Captain Rex gives it an edge for collectors. Those seeking a larger, more detailed speeder might consider sets like the 75311-1 Armored Marauder, but this set provides a good balance of size, detail, and minifigure value.
