The Story of Star Wars

A LEGO theme since 1999

Star Wars was LEGO's first licensed theme, launching in 1999 alongside
Episode I: The Phantom Menace. This groundbreaking partnership transformed
both companies - LEGO gained access to one of the world's most beloved
franchises, while Star Wars found a new way to bring its universe to life
through building.

The theme quickly became LEGO's most successful, spawning the Ultimate
Collector Series (UCS) in 2000 with the iconic X-wing Fighter. Over 25 years
later, Star Wars remains LEGO's flagship licensed theme, with sets spanning
all eras of the saga from the prequels through the sequels and Disney+ series.
