📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

The Luigi's Mansion Entryway Expansion Set is a charming and spooky addition to the LEGO Super Mario universe. It perfectly captures the eerie atmosphere of the video game with its clever use of colors, ghostly elements, and interactive features. This set expands the Super Mario play experience, offering new challenges and storytelling possibilities.

This set is perfect for Super Mario fans of all ages, particularly those who enjoy the Luigi's Mansion series. The build is engaging and not overly complex, making it accessible to younger builders, while the interactive elements and display potential will appeal to older collectors. It's a great way to bring the digital world of Luigi's Mansion to life.

Skip this if you're not invested in the LEGO Super Mario system or prefer more intricate building experiences. If you're looking for a standalone display piece, consider the LEGO Ghostbusters ECTO-1 (10274-1) for a similar spooky theme, or one of the larger Super Mario sets for a more substantial build.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Luigi's Mansion Entryway Expansion Set presents a moderate investment opportunity, primarily driven by its association with the popular Super Mario franchise and the Luigi's Mansion sub-theme. As a retired set, its value is likely to gradually increase, especially among collectors seeking to complete their Super Mario collections. However, the relatively low piece count and the fact that it's an expansion set (requiring a starter course for full playability) may limit its potential for dramatic appreciation. The rising price trend suggests growing interest, but careful monitoring of the secondary market is essential. Compared to larger, more iconic Super Mario sets, this one carries less investment weight but offers a more accessible entry point for collectors.

Compared to other LEGO Super Mario expansion sets, the Luigi's Mansion Entryway offers a unique spooky theme. While sets like the Adventures with Mario Starter Course (71360-1) are essential for gameplay, this expansion provides a different aesthetic and play experience. Consider this set if you're specifically interested in the Luigi's Mansion storyline and want to add a haunted element to your LEGO Super Mario world. It's a smaller set than Bowser's Castle Boss Battle Expansion Set (71369-1) but offers a more focused theme.
