📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

The Thwomp Drop Expansion Set is a fun, interactive addition to the LEGO Super Mario universe. It perfectly captures the frantic energy of the classic video game level, bringing the iconic Thwomp obstacle to life in brick form.

This set is perfect for LEGO Super Mario fans looking to expand their courses and add a thrilling challenge. The build is straightforward and engaging, suitable for younger builders while still offering satisfying interactive play for all ages.

Skip this if you're not invested in the LEGO Super Mario system or prefer standalone display models. Consider other Super Mario expansion sets like Bowser's Castle Boss Battle for a more substantial build, or classic LEGO themes like City or Creator for display-focused sets.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Thwomp Drop Expansion Set, being a retired LEGO Super Mario set, possesses moderate investment potential. Its relatively low piece count and original MSRP limit its potential for explosive growth, however, the ongoing popularity of the Super Mario theme and the set's unique interactive features could drive steady appreciation. As a retired set, its value is likely to increase over time as availability diminishes, especially if kept in pristine, unopened condition. However, competition from other Super Mario sets, including larger and more iconic models, could temper its overall investment performance.
