Fans love the inclusion of the exclusive Techno Cole minifigure and the striking purple color scheme, though some note the build is very quick and simple.

📝 Our Take

Hover Hunter is a fantastic snapshot of the inventive mechanical aesthetic that defined the 2014 Rebooted wave of Ninjago. With its sleek Dark Purple and black color scheme punctuated by trans-red highlights, this agile little speeder packs a surprising amount of aggressive styling into just 79 pieces.

This set is perfect for Ninjago completists and fans of classic impulse-sized villain vehicles. The quick build makes it an accessible grab for younger builders, while the inclusion of two distinct minifigures gives it immediate display and play value right out of the box.

Skip this if you are hunting for complex building techniques or high piece-count displays. At under 80 pieces, the build is over almost as soon as it begins, so modern collectors might prefer larger mechs or modular sets instead.

Retired

As a retired 2014 Ninjago set, Hover Hunter has benefited greatly from the enduring nostalgia surrounding the Rebooted season. While the small 79-piece count means the raw parts value is relatively low, the inclusion of Cole in his Techno Robe outfit and the Nindroid Drone provides steady collector demand. However, buyers should be cautious at current secondary market highs, as small impulse sets can experience price volatility depending on theme popularity and broader market trends.
