📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Lance vs. Lightning is a quirky and unique entry in the Nexo Knights theme. It offers a fun, albeit small, build with some interesting play features and a memorable gargoyle figure. While not the most groundbreaking set, it captures the imaginative spirit of Nexo Knights.

This set is perfect for younger Nexo Knights fans and those looking for a quick, engaging build. The play features, including the catapult and jousting action, add to the fun. It's also a good entry point for those curious about the theme without committing to a larger set.

Skip this if you are looking for a more complex or challenging LEGO build. The piece count is relatively low, and the build is fairly straightforward. Consider larger Nexo Knights sets for a more involved experience.

⏳ Retired

Lance vs. Lightning, being a retired Nexo Knights set, has seen a steady increase in price. The set's relatively low piece count and unique minifigures, particularly Lance with his special armor, contribute to its appeal among collectors. However, the Nexo Knights theme isn't as universally loved as Star Wars or Marvel, which might limit its long-term investment potential. While the price trend is positive, potential investors should be aware of the risks associated with niche themes. The set's original MSRP was reasonable, but the current price reflects its scarcity and collector demand.

Lance vs. Lightning offers a smaller, more focused play experience compared to larger Nexo Knights sets like Jestro's Volcano Lair (70323-1). While Jestro's Lair provides a more extensive build and a wider range of characters, Lance vs. Lightning is more affordable and easier to display. If you're looking for a quick and fun battle set, Lance vs. Lightning is a good choice. For a more immersive and complex experience, consider the larger Nexo Knights sets.
