📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Aaron's Rock Climber is a towering testament to the wild, inventive peak of LEGO Nexo Knights. Packed with 598 pieces, this 2017 standout delivers an aggressive off-road buggy that splits into a crossbow machine and mini-flyer, completely redefining sci-fi medieval action.

This set is perfect for mecha enthusiasts and fans of aggressive vehicle designs. The build process offers an engaging mix of Technic framing and System armor, keeping builders hooked as they assemble the massive buildable Krakenbeast opponent alongside Aaron and his adversaries.

Skip this if you prefer sleek, realistic vehicles or have a minimalist display style. The vibrant neon colors, busy sticker sheets, and frenetic theme-specific styling definitely won't appeal to purists looking for traditional castle or town aesthetics.

⏳ Retired

As a retired representative of the beloved and short-lived Nexo Knights theme, Aaron's Rock Climber has enjoyed a steady rise on the secondary market. At a current average price of roughly $277 against its original $59.99 MSRP, it represents significant appreciation driven by nostalgic fans eager to complete their Nexo Knights rosters. While the theme lacks the universal, cross-demographic appeal of Star Wars or Harry Potter, its dedicated cult following ensures robust demand for complete sets in good condition, particularly given the inclusion of unique villains like Lord Krakenskull. Collectors should weigh whether current market prices have peaked, but long-term scarcity for complete boxes and instructions will likely keep this set a strong performer within niche sci-fi/castle crossover collecting.

Compared to other mid-sized vehicles in the Nexo Knights lineup, 70355-1 stands out for its sheer bulk and aggressive split-vehicle functionality. While standard battle machines focused on single-mode play, the Rock Climber rivals larger flagship sets in terms of play value and display presence, outstripping standard wave-one carts and bikes.
