Heliport, released in 1973, holds significant investment potential due to its age and rarity. As a vintage set, it appeals to collectors seeking to complete their classic LEGO collections. The relatively low piece count might deter some, but the set's historical significance and rising price trend suggest it's a worthwhile investment. However, condition is key; a set in pristine condition with original packaging will command a premium.

Compared to modern LEGO City sets, the Heliport offers a simpler, more classic building experience. Sets like the more recent City Police Helicopter (60275-1) offer more advanced building techniques and realistic details but lack the vintage charm of the Heliport. Collectors seeking nostalgia and historical significance may prefer the Heliport, while those wanting modern features and complexity might opt for newer sets.
