⏳ Retired

The 42024 Container Truck, released in 2014, is a retired Technic set with a rising price trend, suggesting increasing collector interest. Its piece count of nearly 1000 and functional design contribute to its appeal. While not a licensed set, the Technic theme has a dedicated following, and well-maintained copies could see continued appreciation. However, the lack of unique or rare elements might limit its long-term growth potential compared to sets with exclusive minifigures or parts. Keep in mind that Technic sets can be more susceptible to condition issues, so pristine condition is key for investment purposes.

Compared to other Technic sets in the same price range, the Container Truck offers a good balance of complexity and playability. Sets like the 42009 Mobile Crane MK II (when it was available) offered more advanced functions but at a higher price point. The 42024 is a solid choice for those looking for a realistic truck model without the extreme complexity of some flagship Technic sets.
