Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Ambulance 338-1 offers decent investment potential, primarily driven by its age and rarity. As a set from 1970, it's relatively scarce in good condition, making it appealing to vintage LEGO collectors. While the piece count is low, the presence of unique printed bricks enhances its value. However, potential investors should be aware of the risks associated with older sets, such as fading, discoloration, and missing parts. Its simple design may limit broader appeal compared to more complex vintage sets. Still, scarcity drives the price, making it a decent investment.

Compared to modern LEGO City ambulances, the 338-1 is significantly simpler in design and smaller in scale. Modern sets like 60318-1 offer more realistic details and play features. However, the vintage set holds value for collectors seeking historical significance and nostalgia. If you prefer intricate builds and modern aesthetics, opt for a newer set; if you appreciate LEGO history, the 338-1 is the better choice.
