📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Knight Tournament is a charming gateway into medieval role-play for the youngest LEGO enthusiasts. With its chunky DUPLO bricks, friendly horse figure, and cheerful knight, this 2014 set delivers safe, imaginative building fun for toddlers.

This set is perfect for parents and toddlers aged 2-5 who love knights and castle adventures. The oversized pieces are easy for little hands to grasp, encouraging basic motor skills and early storytelling without any frustratingly tiny elements.

Skip this if you are looking for complex building techniques or traditional System-scale sets. At just 16 pieces, older kids and adult collectors will outgrow this instantly, though DUPLO fans might appreciate the vintage medieval aesthetic.

⏳ Retired
As a retired 2014 DUPLO set with a very low piece count, Knight Tournament occupies a niche corner of the secondary market. While DUPLO sets generally do not appreciate with the same explosive growth as Star Wars or Modular Buildings, nostalgic parents and castle-themed completionists do occasionally seek out complete sets in good condition. Currently trading slightly above its original $9.99 MSRP at around $18, the upside is modest but stable. Sealed boxes hold minor collectible appeal, but the lack of massive mainstream demand means it is better viewed as a fun blast from the past rather than a serious financial investment.
