Teams can keep competing with SPIKE Prime through the 2027-2028 season. LEGO Education says teams can switch to its Computer Science & AI sets from the 2026-2027 season.

What is FLL?

Team-based competition where students build robots to complete missions on a game mat. Teams also present innovation projects to judges.

Start Simple: Begin with Word Blocks and move to Python once students are comfortable. Students master concepts before syntax.
Pair Programming: 2 students per set works well. One "driver" codes, one "navigator" reviews. Rotate roles.
Storage System: Label bins by team. Use inventory checklists to track pieces. Designate "part managers" in groups.
