This set's investment potential hinges entirely on its historical significance and scarcity. As a database set representing pre-1965 LEGO elements, its appeal is limited to a niche market of serious collectors focused on the brand's origins. While the low piece count might deter some, the set's age and the potential for unique or early production variations in the included parts could drive up its value over time, especially if kept in pristine condition. The absence of minifigures further concentrates the value on the bricks themselves.

Compared to modern LEGO sets with complex building techniques and licensed themes, this set offers a completely different experience centered around the history and simplicity of early LEGO bricks. While it lacks the playability and display appeal of larger, more detailed sets, its unique historical value makes it a worthwhile addition for dedicated collectors. Consider modular building sets or Star Wars UCS sets for more intricate building experiences.
