⏳ Retired

The Mindstorms Education Resource Set 9695-1 presents a mixed investment opportunity. As an educational set, its demand is primarily driven by schools and institutions, which can lead to stable but not necessarily explosive growth. The rising price trend suggests increasing interest, possibly due to the retirement of the NXT system. However, its value is heavily tied to its utility for educational purposes, so its appeal to general collectors might be limited. Compared to retail Mindstorms sets, its investment potential is less certain, making it a niche investment with moderate risk.

Compared to the retail Mindstorms sets, the Education Resource Set focuses more on providing a wide array of parts for open-ended experimentation. While retail sets like 51515-1 offer specific models and guided builds, the Education set encourages creativity and custom designs. Consider the retail sets for pre-designed robots or the Education set for maximum building flexibility.
