📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Mistlands Tower is a solid entry in the Knights Kingdom II theme. With a classic castle design, six minifigures, and a good piece count for its time, it offers a fun building experience and decent play value. The set captures the essence of medieval fantasy with its tower structure, action features, and opposing factions.

This set is perfect for LEGO castle enthusiasts and collectors of the Knights Kingdom II series. It provides a good balance between building complexity and playability, making it enjoyable for both younger builders and adult fans seeking a nostalgic trip. The inclusion of multiple minifigures enhances the play experience and adds to its collectibility.

Skip this if you prefer highly detailed or larger-scale castle sets. While Mistlands Tower is a decent set, it might not satisfy those looking for intricate building techniques or a grand display piece. Consider sets like the Lion Knights' Castle (10305-1) for a more advanced and impressive castle experience.

Not enough price history for a trend

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

Mistlands Tower (8823-1) holds moderate investment potential due to its status as a retired set from the Knights Kingdom II theme. While not as iconic as some other castle sets, its decent piece count (438) and inclusion of six minifigures contribute to its collectibility. The set's age (released in 2006) adds to its rarity, but its overall appreciation may be limited compared to more popular themes like Star Wars or modular buildings. Investors should monitor its price trends on secondary markets and consider its condition and completeness when assessing its value.

BB202's vintage review of the 8823 Mistlands Tower (2006) praises its impressive size relative to its original $50 price. However, the review also notes the set's simplicity and heavy use of stickers, leading to a recommendation to buy it used rather than in mint condition.
