📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Gate Assault is a classic Exo-Force set that captures the spirit of the theme. With its focus on mech battles and detailed minifigures, it provides a great entry point into the world of Sentai-inspired LEGO action.

This set is perfect for fans of the Exo-Force theme and those who enjoy building small-scale fortifications and mechs. The build is relatively straightforward, making it accessible to younger builders, while the play features provide plenty of interactive fun.

Skip this if you prefer larger, more complex builds or aren't interested in the Exo-Force aesthetic. Consider sets like 7707-1 Striking Venom or 7708-1 Stealth Hunter for bigger mech action.

⏳ Retired

Gate Assault, released in 2006, is a retired Exo-Force set that has shown consistent appreciation over time. The set's relatively low MSRP combined with its increasing rarity makes it an attractive option for collectors. The presence of multiple minifigures, including the unique Ha-Ya-To, adds to its collectibility. While the Exo-Force theme may not be as universally popular as Star Wars or Marvel, its dedicated fanbase ensures a steady demand for well-preserved sets. However, potential investors should be aware that the market value can fluctuate, and the set's condition is crucial for maximizing returns.

Compared to other Exo-Force sets, Gate Assault offers a balanced mix of play features and building experience. While sets like 7707-1 Striking Venom provide larger mech builds, Gate Assault focuses on defensive structures and smaller, more numerous mech units. For collectors interested in the Exo-Force theme, Gate Assault complements larger sets by providing a defensive stronghold and additional enemy units.
