📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Darkseid Invasion is an underrated gem in the LEGO DC lineup. Released in 2015, this set brought the powerful Darkseid to brick form for the first time, along with a solid roster of Justice League heroes. The build itself is surprisingly engaging, offering a fun play experience and a menacing display piece.

This set is perfect for DC Comics fans and LEGO collectors alike. The inclusion of Darkseid, Green Arrow, and Hawkman makes it a must-have for minifigure enthusiasts. The build is also relatively quick and satisfying, making it a great project for an afternoon.

Skip this if you're only interested in the most recent LEGO sets or prefer larger, more complex builds. While a good set, there are bigger Justice League sets like the Hall of Justice (76097-1) that offer a more substantial building experience and expanded play features.

⏳ Retired

Darkseid Invasion offers decent investment potential, driven by its retired status, exclusive minifigures, and the popularity of the DC Comics theme. Darkseid's first appearance as a bigfig adds to its collectibility. While not the largest or most complex set, its unique elements and rising price trend suggest it will continue to appreciate. However, be mindful of potential market fluctuations and the availability of similar superhero sets.

The set contains a good selection of Dark Bluish Gray and White plates and slopes, useful for building various structures and vehicles. The Trans-Red and Trans-Orange elements are great for adding energy effects to MOCs.
