📝 Our Take

75881-1 2016 Ford GT & 1966 Ford GT40 is a masterclass in miniature automotive recreation. This iconic dual-pack bridges half a century of racing heritage, pairing the legendary Le Mans-winning GT40 with its modern technological successor in a single, highly satisfying box.

This set is perfect for petrolheads, racing fans, and builders who love compact display pieces. At 373 pieces, it offers a fun, accessible building session that culminates in two distinct, highly recognizable vehicles complete with a victory podium and race marshal.

Skip this if you prefer larger, more detailed Technic supercars or have no interest in the Speed Champions theme. While charming, these older 6-stud-wide designs lack the complex interior shaping and aerodynamic nuance of modern 8-wide Speed Champions vehicles.

Not enough price history for a trend

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

As a retired Speed Champions set featuring the globally recognized Ford brand, 75881-1 holds a unique position in the secondary market. The dual-generation pairing of classic and modern muscle creates strong nostalgia and collector appeal that single-car packs often miss. Ford GT and GT40 licensing also commands a dedicated following beyond traditional LEGO enthusiasts, spanning automotive and racing memorabilia collectors alike. However, because the official price trend is currently unknown with no reliable recent sales history recorded in the provided data, prospective buyers and investors should exercise caution. While retired Speed Champions sets generally appreciate over time, local supply, completeness with stickers, and the condition of the box heavily dictate actual secondary market value. Do not treat this as a guaranteed asset, as shifts in theme popularity or market saturation can impact returns.

Compared to single-pack Speed Champions sets from the same era, 75881-1 offers exceptional value by giving you two complete vehicles and a display podium in one box. While newer 8-wide Ford sets offer greater scale and detail, this 6-wide classic duo remains a nostalgic favorite for automotive display shelves.
