📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

The Ferrari F40 Competizione is a fantastic entry into the Speed Champions lineup. This set perfectly captures the iconic lines of the legendary Ferrari, offering builders a 2-in-1 experience to create either the Competizione race version or the classic F40 road car.

This set is perfect for car enthusiasts and LEGO Speed Champions collectors. The build is engaging and offers a great display piece that doesn't take up too much space. It's also a great way to introduce younger builders to the joys of LEGO car models.

Skip this if you're looking for a highly complex or large-scale model. While the 2-in-1 build adds versatility, those seeking a more intricate Ferrari build might consider larger Technic sets instead.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Ferrari F40 Competizione, being a retired Speed Champions set, presents a modest investment opportunity. Its relatively low piece count and original MSRP make it accessible, while the Ferrari license adds a degree of collectibility. The rising price trend indicates growing demand, but returns may be limited compared to larger, more exclusive sets. However, its iconic status and the popularity of the Speed Champions theme suggest it will likely hold its value and potentially appreciate modestly over time, especially if kept in mint condition.
