📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

The Republic Fighter Tank is a solid addition to any LEGO Star Wars collection. This set accurately recreates the vehicle from the Clone Wars era, offering a fun build and great playability for younger fans while still appealing to adult collectors.

This set is perfect for Star Wars enthusiasts and army builders. With six minifigures and a relatively quick build, it's easy to amass a small platoon of Clone Troopers and Battle Droids.

Skip this if you're looking for a challenging or complex build. The techniques used are fairly straightforward, and you might prefer larger, more detailed vehicles like the AT-TE Walker (75337).

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Republic Fighter Tank (75342) presents a moderate investment opportunity. As a retired set from the ever-popular Star Wars theme, it has inherent appeal to collectors. The inclusion of Mace Windu and the 187th Legion Clone Troopers adds to its value, particularly for minifigure collectors. However, its relatively low piece count and original MSRP might limit significant appreciation compared to larger, more exclusive sets. While the price trend is falling, indicating current availability in the secondary market, its long-term potential hinges on the continued demand for Clone Wars-era sets and the condition of the included minifigures. Monitor market trends and keep the set sealed for best results.

Compared to other LEGO Star Wars sets in a similar price range, the Republic Fighter Tank offers a good balance of vehicle and minifigure content. While sets like the Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack (75372) offer more troopers for army building, this set provides a more substantial vehicle build and a key Jedi character. If you're after a larger vehicle, consider saving up for the AT-TE Walker (75337), but this tank is a great starting point for a Clone Wars collection.
