📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Axl's Rolling Arsenal is an absolute powerhouse of imaginative play and sci-fi-meets-medieval design. Released in 2018 during the twilight of the fan-favorite Nexo Knights theme, this heavy-duty battle vehicle packs an incredible punch with its massive tread system, hidden flick missiles, and an ingenious opening drawbridge.

This set is perfect for Nexo Knights completionists and mecha-vehicle enthusiasts. With 604 pieces and four minifigures—including the titular Axl and the villainous Jestro—the build offers a fun, mechanically engaging construction experience that spans a couple of satisfying hours.

Skip this if you are strictly a modern system or castle purist. Because the theme is long retired, the current secondary market price of around $150 reflects collector scarcity rather than original value, making it a niche purchase for dedicated fans.

B+

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

Axl's Rolling Arsenal has experienced steady growth on the secondary market, climbing from its original $59.99 MSRP to around $148.26. As part of the retired and cult-classic Nexo Knights theme, sets featuring main characters like Axl and Jestro carry strong nostalgic appeal for collectors who grew up with the 2016-2018 era of LEGO. From an investment perspective, the set benefits from being a unique intersection of castle aesthetics and futuristic tech, meaning it doesn't directly compete with standard City or Star Wars lines. While the current price represents a solid appreciation, potential investors should weigh the narrower collector base compared to evergreen themes like Harry Potter or Star Wars.
