The Ultimate Batmobile is a transforming masterpiece of LEGO engineering. Combining four distinct Bat-vehicles into one mega-machine, this set offers a unique building experience and a striking display piece that captures the over-the-top nature of The LEGO Batman Movie.

This set is perfect for LEGO Batman fans and builders looking for a challenging and rewarding project. With over 1400 pieces, the build is complex enough to keep experienced builders engaged, while the final model offers both play and display value.

Skip this if you prefer more realistic or grounded LEGO vehicles. The set's whimsical design and focus on transformation may not appeal to those seeking accuracy or a more traditional Batmobile.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Ultimate Batmobile (70917) presents a mixed investment profile. As a retired LEGO Batman Movie set, it benefits from the theme's popularity and the set's unique features, including the transforming design and numerous minifigures. The piece count is substantial, adding to its appeal as a collectible. However, its initial retail price was relatively high, which could limit future appreciation. The set's value will likely increase steadily over time, but it may not experience exponential growth. Potential investors should monitor market trends and consider the set's condition and completeness when evaluating its investment potential.

The Ultimate Batmobile stands out due to its transforming nature, differentiating it from static Batmobile models like the 76139-1 1989 Batmobile. While the 1989 Batmobile prioritizes screen accuracy, the Ultimate Batmobile offers play features and multiple vehicles in one. The 76240-1 Batmobile Tumbler offers a different aesthetic, appealing to fans of The Dark Knight trilogy. Choosing between these sets depends on whether you prioritize movie accuracy, playability, or a unique transforming design.
