Aerial Intruder is an absolute masterpiece of early 1990s space design. As a cornerstone of the legendary Blacktron II theme, this set perfectly captures the era's signature stealth-black aesthetic contrasted with striking trans-neon green canopies and crisp white hull accents.

This set is perfect for nostalgic sci-fi fans and classic LEGO Space collectors. With a sleek alternate-configuration ship design and classic modular components, it delivers both fantastic display appeal and that timeless space-play charm.

⏳ Retired

Blacktron II remains one of the most beloved sub-themes in LEGO history, and Aerial Intruder (6981) is a prime example of why. With its distinct color palette and nostalgic appeal, vintage sets in good condition command a massive premium on the secondary market, pushing well past $400 for complete examples. Because these sets have been retired for decades, finding complete specimens with pristine trans-neon green canopies and unbroken clips is becoming increasingly difficult. This scarcity drives consistent, upward price trends that outpace many modern investments. While the entry price is high, its historical significance and dedicated fan base ensure it will remain a cornerstone of vintage space collecting for years to come.
