📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

Skateboard Challenge is a rad blast from the past! Released in 2002 as part of the Island Xtreme Stunts theme, this set captures the extreme sports vibe with its bright colors, dynamic ramps, and skateboarding minifigures. It's a small but fun set that brings back memories of early 2000s LEGO.

This set is perfect for LEGO collectors who appreciate the nostalgia of older themes and smaller, action-oriented sets. The build is quick and straightforward, making it a great introductory set for younger builders or a fun addition to a larger Island Xtreme Stunts collection.

Skip this if you're looking for a complex build or a large display piece. Consider sets like the LEGO City Skate Park (60364-1) for a more modern skateboarding experience, or the Creator 3-in-1 Skate House (31081-1) for more building options.

Not enough price history for a trend

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

Skateboard Challenge offers moderate investment potential. Its age (released in 2002) contributes to its rarity and nostalgic appeal, particularly for collectors of the Island Xtreme Stunts theme. The relatively low piece count keeps the price accessible, but complete sets with minifigures in good condition command a premium. While it's not a guaranteed high-return investment, its collectibility and theme popularity suggest it will likely hold or slightly increase in value over time. The presence of three minifigures enhances its value, especially if they are in excellent condition.

Compared to modern LEGO skate park sets, Skateboard Challenge offers a more retro feel. While lacking the complexity of newer sets, its simplicity and vibrant color scheme make it a unique collectible. The LEGO City Skate Park (60364-1) offers a more contemporary design and larger play area, but this set appeals to those seeking nostalgia and a piece of LEGO history.
