Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Daredevil Flight Squad, released in 1998, offers moderate investment potential due to its relative rarity and the nostalgia factor associated with the Extreme Team theme. While not as iconic as some other themes from the same era, its complete sets in good condition command a premium on the secondary market. The presence of unique printed elements and minifigures adds to its collectibility. However, the theme's overall popularity is not as high as themes like Classic Space or Castle, which could limit significant price appreciation. Investors should focus on acquiring sets in excellent condition with original packaging and instructions to maximize potential returns. Consider that general interest in 90s LEGO is growing, but this specific theme is not as widely recognized.

Compared to modern LEGO City sets, the Daredevil Flight Squad offers a more specialized and stylized building experience, focusing on the niche theme of extreme sports and rescue operations. While newer sets may offer more advanced building techniques and a wider range of features, this set provides a unique nostalgic appeal and a distinctive aesthetic. Consider the 60321-1 Fire Brigade set for a modern take on fire rescue or the 60289-1 Air Race Jet Transporter for similar flying action.
