The Police Command Base is a cornerstone of Classic Town LEGO. Released in 1986, this set embodies the charm of early LEGO City layouts, featuring a detailed police station with vehicles and minifigures that capture the essence of law enforcement in LEGO form.

This set is perfect for vintage LEGO collectors and those nostalgic for Classic Town. The build provides a satisfying retro experience, offering a glimpse into the early days of LEGO City design and imaginative play.

Skip this if you prefer modern, highly detailed LEGO sets or are on a tight budget. The set's vintage nature means it lacks the advanced building techniques and intricate details of contemporary sets; consider modern LEGO City police stations for a more up-to-date experience.

The Police Command Base (6386-1) presents a solid investment opportunity, driven by its status as a vintage Classic Town set. Its age and relative rarity contribute to its increasing value. The set's complete inventory, including the original box and instructions, significantly enhances its collectibility and potential return. While fluctuations in the LEGO market can occur, the enduring appeal of Classic Town themes suggests continued appreciation for well-preserved sets like this one. However, condition is everything, so a damaged box or missing parts will reduce value significantly.
