📝 Our Take

AI-assisted editorial summary, grounded in our LEGO database and public community discussions. How we use AI

The Police Patrol Boat is a fun addition to any LEGO City layout. With its bright colors, multiple minifigures, and play features like a working searchlight and a small underwater scooter, it offers plenty of opportunities for imaginative play.

This set is perfect for younger LEGO fans and those who enjoy creating their own LEGO City adventures. The build is relatively straightforward, making it a great introduction to more complex LEGO sets, and the play value is high.

Skip this if you're looking for a challenging build or a highly detailed display piece. While a solid set, it's primarily designed for play. Consider the LEGO City Coast Guard Headquarters for a larger, more complex maritime set.

Investment Grade

⏳ Retired

The Police Patrol Boat, being a retired set from the popular LEGO City theme, has potential as a modest investment. Its relatively low piece count and wide availability during its retail period might limit significant appreciation. However, the inclusion of several minifigures, including some with diving gear, adds to its appeal for collectors. The set's overall condition and completeness will be key factors in determining its value over time. While not a high-risk, high-reward investment, it could be a worthwhile addition to a broader LEGO collection, especially for those focused on the City theme.

Compared to other LEGO City police sets, the Police Patrol Boat offers a unique maritime element. While sets like the Police Station offer more comprehensive land-based scenarios, the Patrol Boat provides opportunities for water-based pursuits. It's a good alternative for those looking to expand their LEGO City beyond the typical police station and vehicle sets. Also, the set offers a good value for its price, with a decent number of pieces and minifigures.
