World Grand Prix is a charming and nostalgic LEGO set. Released in 2011 as part of the Cars theme, it captures the excitement of the movie with iconic characters like Lightning McQueen and Francesco Bernoulli. The set uses larger Duplo bricks making it perfect for younger builders.

This set is perfect for young children and Cars fans. The large Duplo bricks are easy for small hands to manipulate, and the set offers a simple, fun building experience that encourages imaginative play. It's also a great way to introduce young children to the world of LEGO.

⏳ Retired

The World Grand Prix set, while aimed at a younger audience, has seen its value appreciate due to its retirement and the enduring popularity of the Cars franchise. Its relatively low piece count and Duplo format limit its overall investment potential compared to more complex LEGO sets. However, complete sets in good condition are becoming increasingly scarce, contributing to its rising value. Collectors of LEGO Cars memorabilia may find this set a worthwhile addition, but significant returns are unlikely.

Compared to other Cars LEGO sets aimed at older builders, the World Grand Prix offers a simpler and more accessible building experience for young children. Sets like the 8423-1 World Grand Prix Racing Rivalry feature more complex builds and minifigures, appealing to older fans. However, for toddlers, the Duplo version provides a safe and engaging introduction to the LEGO Cars universe.
