The Deluxe Train Set, being a DUPLO set, primarily appeals to a niche market of collectors interested in early LEGO sets and those seeking to complete their DUPLO train collections. While DUPLO sets don't typically see the same level of appreciation as more complex LEGO System sets, the set's relative rarity due to its age and the potential for completing a DUPLO train layout could make it a reasonable investment. However, returns may be modest compared to other LEGO investments, and condition is crucial.
